There are cases of farmers in this region at present requiring urgent assistance to ensure their animals have sufficient fodder this winter. That’s according to Gerry Loftus, the Chairperson of the Irish Natura Hill Farmers Association (INHFA).
A meeting on the fodder crisis will take place a week today, January 15TH, in the Sligo Park Hotel.
The meeting will be chaired by Teagasc and representatives of Minister Creed’s Dept will be present together with the Farm Organisations and other relevant agencies.
Gerry told Midwest News today why this further meeting on the crisis is required.
