Patrick (Paddy) Coughlan

Cloonkeen, Castlerea, Co. Roscommon - February 12th 2025 - peacefully at his residence.

Predeceased by his parents Paddy and Mary. 

Patrick (Paddy) loving husband of Marion and father to Gerard (Ballyhaunis), Gillian (Knockcroghery) and Trevor (Frenchpark).

Paddy will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, his sons and daughter, and his adored grandchildren Elliott, Lewis and Robin.

Also, by his brother James (Teresa) and his sister Jane Byron (Gay), Gerard’s partner Lynsey and Trevor’s partner Catherine, brothers-in-law Noel Leonard (Castlerea) and John Leonard (Donamon), nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, neighbours, friends and work colleagues in Ward & Burke.

May He Rest In Peace

Reposing at McDonagh’s Funeral Home, Castlerea on Friday evening from 4.30 with removal at 7.30 to St. Patrick’s Church, Castlerea.

Mass of the Resurrection on Saturday morning at 11 o’clock with the funeral proceeding to St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Castlerea.

It is with great sadness that I read of the death of Paddy and I extend my deepest sympathy to his wife Marion sons Gerard and Trevor and daughter Gillian and their extended families Paddy was a gentleman , hardworking kind and humble, very witty and always cool in the hottest of situations , I never knew him to be ruffled or in bad form, he would light up any company, he never entertained failure Paddy would succeed no matter how long it took, he had a great sense of confidence and he encouraged everyone and he was always available to lend a hand and a word of advice. I met him first when we worked in Major Steel in 1970s . May God grant him eternal rest and may God comfort all who mourn his passing
