Valerie Callaghan née Hughes,

Hollywood Grove and formerly of The Square, Ballaghaderreen, Co. Roscommon

November 20th, 1938 - January 22nd, 2025

Peacefully, in the exceptional care of Eithne and her staff at Oakwood Nursing Home, Ballaghaderreen.

Pre-deceased by her husband Michael.

Valerie will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her son Michael, daughter-in-law Caroline, her beloved grandchildren Andrea, Róisín and Robert, sister Lily Doyle (Armagh), sister-in law Mary Mulkeen (Birmingham), brother-in-law Martin Bodkin (North Hampton), nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

May She Rest in Peace.

Valerie will repose in The Sharkey Funeral Home, Ballaghaderreen on Friday from 5pm until 7pm.

Removal from the funeral home on Saturday at 11.45am to St. Nathy’s Cathedral, Ballaghaderreen arriving for Mass of the Resurrection at 12 noon, with the funeral proceeding to Kilcolman Cemetery.

Family flowers only, please. Donations in Valerie’s memory can be made to The Mayo / Roscommon Hospice Palliative Care Services.
