Thomas Cox,

Mayour, Kilmeena, Westport, Co. Mayo - January 21st, 2025 - peacefully at his residence in Kilmeena, surrounded by his loving family, in his 94th year.

Predeceased by his loving wife Agnes and daughter Marie Bourke.

Deeply mourned and lovingly remembered by his sons and daughters Tommy (Kilmeena), Dermot (Kilmeena), Deirdre (Kilcock), Kevin (Breaffy), Oonagh (Breaffy), Nessa (Kilmeena), his daughters-in-law, sons-in-law and partners Stanley, Martina, Marie, Paul, Brygida, Seamus and Tony, grandchildren, great grandchild, brother-in-law Eamon O'Malley (Mullingar), relatives, neighbours and friends.    

May he rest in peace.

Reposing at his residence F28 DP99 on Thursday between 3 o’clock and 8 o’clock.

House private at all other times please.

One way traffic system in place from Buckfield turn off N59 exiting through Carrowholly. 

Funeral Mass on Saturday at 12 noon in St. Brendan's Church, Myna, Kilmeena followed by burial in Myna Cemetery. 

Funeral Mass will be live streamed on www.churchtv.ie/Kilmeena or listened to on Kilmeena Parish radio at 106.3FM.

Very sorry to hear Tommie’s passing. Deepest sympathies to all his family. Great childhood memories of him when he was picked to play for Mayo in the 50’s brought great pride to the parish. Also remember him singing in the concerts in Common’s hall, great chanter. He had so many other interests,handb all, shooting, fishing, and all rounder. Brilliant carpenter and an honest employee. Always great banter on the job. His character and kindness was reflected in the loving care he gave to his wife Agnes in her prolonged period of illness. He will be sadly missed by his family and large collection of friends. RIP Tom, you were one of the finest. Sorry I’m away.
