Bill (Liam) Kelly,

Ballindrimley, Castlerea and formerly of Cloonree, Castlerea, Co. Roscommon - peacefully at home with his family at his side on 14th December 2024.

Predeceased by his wife Rose, parents Bill and Rose and his brother Cathal.

Bill will be sadly missed by his children Alan (Baslick), Claire (Boner, Burtonport, Donegal), Karina (Laghey, Donegal), Roslyn (McDonnell, Loughglynn) and Áine (Toronto), brothers Tom (Ballina), and Mike (Strandhill), grandchildren Jack, Aaron, Mark, Ethan, Chloe, Anna and Owen, sons-in-law Joe, Ian, David and Michaél, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours, a wide circle of friends and his loyal companion Bressie.

May He Rest In Peace 

Bill will be reposing at Gaynor’s Funeral Home, Castlerea from 4.30pm – 7pm on Monday evening.

Funeral will be arriving at St. Patrick’s Church, Castlerea for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am on Tuesday. Burial afterwards in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

The Funeral Mass will be live-streamed on St. Patrick’s Church webcam.

Shocked and so sorry to hear of the passing of Liam Kelly. Liam was a member of a great Castlerea family and he was such a proud and passionate Roscommon supporter. I always admired his love for his home county all down the years. He was a true gentleman and enjoyed the regular banter with us here in Mayo. He was great company and was a GAA man through and through. Roscommon has lost a noble son with the passing of Liam Kelly.
