Pearl Cawley nee Hughes,

Newtown, Claremorris, Co. Mayo and formerly of Springvale, Killererin, Tuam, Co. Galway.

Pearl passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving children.

Pre-deceased by her husband Cathal, parents Tommie and Breege Hughes and brother Fr. Oliver,

Pearl is survived by her children, Fergal, Ashleen, Sinead, Niamh and Cormac, sons in-law John, Micheál and Rob, daughters in-law Katherine and Tess grandchildren Alex, Seb, Fiadh, Heni, Hannah, Luke, Emma, Cathal, Muiris and Eilís, sisters Mary, Regina, Majella, Nuala, Angela and brothers John and Tom, all her nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and many great neighbours and friends.

Rest in Peace.

Funeral will arrive on Monday, 28th October to the Church of St. John The Baptist, Knock for Funeral Mass at 10.30am.

Burial afterwards in St Colman’s cemetery Claremorris.

Peral you and Cahal were the first neighbours TJ and I got to know as neighbours. Our first Christmas Cahal babysat Lydia as we went to Christmas eve Mass. You and Cahal were wonderful neighbours. Cahal died too young. When TJ died at 57 you visited me and consoled me. We remained friends. You were always content with your life you told me. We talked about our children and their lives. We both got cancer in 2019. You had chemo I thankfully didn't. I called for coffee and we shared experiences. Now you have gone to meet with Cahal and your work here is done.
