River, Keel, Achill - peacefully at home after a short illness, surrounded by his family.

Pre-deceased by his wife Maura, mother Margaret, father John and brother James.

He will be sadly missed by his son Joe, daughters Margaret, Michelle, Kathryn, Tina and Orla, daughter-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family.

May Josie’s gentle soul rest in peace.

Reposing at Sweeney’s Funeral Home, Achill Sound (HF28 HN81) on Friday from 5.00pm with removal at 7.00pm to Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Dookinella arriving at 7.30pm.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 11.00am followed by burial in Slievemore Cemetery.

House strictly private please.
