Eugeen (Eone) Sheereen,

Aras Deirbhle Nursing Home, Belmullet and late of Glengad, Pullathomas, Ballina, Co. Mayo - at the Mayo University Hospital, Castlebar - on 23rd October 2024.

Predeceased by his father Michael and mother Kate.  

Eugeen will be sadly missed by the Doherty Families, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Remains reposing at Healy’s Funeral Home, Bar na Trá (F26 DY62) on Friday evening, 25th October from 5.30 until 7 o’clock arriving at St. Patrick's Church, Inver (F26 NX51) at 8 o’clock. 

Funeral Mass on Saturday, 26th October at 2.30 with burial afterwards in Pullathomas Cemetery.

Family flowers only.  Donations to the Patient Care Fund, Aras Deirbhle, c/o Healy Funeral Directors.

Thirteen years ago Sr Aidan and I joined Fr Eddie Rogan’s group of parishioners and friends for a pilgrimage to the Holy Land. Eugene Eone was one of them. It was a memorable time for all of us. I recall how Eugeen Eone never failed to remind Fr Eddie daily it was Angelus time at 12 noon and 6pm. Fr Eddie generally invited Eugeen to lead the Angelus which he reverently did.
