James (Jim) Scanlon,
 
Clooninsla, Ballinlough, Co. Roscommon and formerly of Birmingham, UK - peacefully, at home after a short illness on October 18th, 2024.
 
Pre-deceased by his parents;  Johnny and May. Jim will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sister Mary Jones (Birmingham), his nieces and nephews. Also, by his  sister in law Dorothy Scanlon, cousins, extended family, neighbours and friends. 
 
May He Rest in Peace.
 
Reposing at McDonagh's Funeral Home Castlerea, on Monday evening from 6pm until 7:30pm.
 
Private cremation will take place in Mount Jerome Crematorium Dublin, on Tuesday.
 
Family flowers only please, donations if desired to Mayo/Roscommon Palliative Care services c/o McDonagh Funeral Directors, Castlerea.
