John Francis Sharkey,

Lissergool, Tibohine, Castlerea, Co. Roscommon

(April 9th, 1937 - September 9th, 2024) 

peacefully with his heartbroken wife, Bridie and family by his side, in the wonderful care of Eithne and her staff at Oakwood Nursing Home, Ballaghaderreen.

Pre-deceased by his beloved children Mary and Patrick, his brother Dominick and his sister Aggie Flannery.

John Francis will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his wife Bridie née Greene, granddaughters Saoirse and Ava, brother P.T (Chicago), sisters Jennie O’Keefe (Chicago), Mary Borner (Chicago) and Catherine Spelman (Dorset), brother-in-law Pat, sisters-in-law Peggy and Sally, daughter-in-law Teresa, son-in-law Paul O’Reilly, nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

May He Rest in Peace.

John Francis will repose in The Sharkey Funeral Home, Ballaghaderreen on Thursday from 5pm, followed by removal at 7pm to St. Baoithin’s Church, Tibohine arriving at 7.30pm.

Mass of the Resurrection on Friday at 11am, followed by interment in Tibohine (new) cemetery.
