George Wilson,

Cross Hill, Binghamstown, Belmullet, Co. Mayo - peacefully at his family home surrounded by his loving family in his 97th year on 1st September 2024.

Predeceased by his parents Joe and Kate Wilson, son in law Vincent Walsh, sisters Mary Kate Geraghty, Katie Keane and Lena Togher.

Beloved husband of Mary (née Cafferkey) and dear father of Mary Walsh (Castlebar), Josephine Flannery (Cross Hill, Binghamstown, Belmullet), Catherine McNulty (Barnagh East, Clogher, Belmullet), Breege Wilson (Cross Hill, Binghamstown, Belmullet) and George (Shanahee, Belmullet).

He will be sadly missed by his heartbroken family, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, kind neighbours and many friends.

May His Kind and Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

Remains reposing at McDonnell’s Funeral Home, Belmullet on Tuesday evening from 5 o’clock until 7 o’clock.

Funeral will arrive at St. Joseph’s Church, Binghamstown on Wednesday for Funeral Mass at 12 noon followed by burial in Cross Cemetery.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu if desired to Cara Iorrais, c/o McDonnell Funeral Directors, Belmullet.
