Mary Ann Carolan nee Cooney,

Shepherd’s Bush, London and formerly of  Belfarsad and Shraheens, Achill – peacefully - 11th August 2024 - In the loving care of her family, after a short illness.

Pre-deceased by her parents Patrick ( Shraheens) and Mary Cooney (nee Corrigan, Achill Beg), her brother Pakie, sisters- in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces Lynn and Karen.

A loving wife and truly wonderful mother who will forever be missed by her husband Kevin, daughters Margaret, Marie, Annette, Jacqueline and   Eileen, son Johnnie, daughter-in-law and sons-in-law, grandchildren Tim, Katie, Amy, Tom, Ollie, Niall and Grace, her sister Margaret, sister-in-law Anne, brother-in-law Cecil, nieces, nephews and their families, many relations and friends.

Rest in Peace.

Funeral Mass in Lady of Fatima Church, London W12 7QR on Wednesday evening, 4th September at 6 o’clock.

Funeral will arrive via Knock Airport to the Church of Mary Immaculate, Achill Sound on Friday evening, 6th September at 4 o’clock.

Funeral Mass on Saturday morning, 7th September at 11 o’clock followed by burial in Polranny Cemetery.

It is with profound sadness that I learn of the passing of a former colleague and friend, Mary. It was an honour and privilege to have known her. Mary was the embodiment of kindness, grace, and humility. She had an extraordinary ability to see only the good in others, and in doing so, she enriched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to have known her. Her gentle spirit and generous heart will be deeply missed, but her legacy of goodness will live on in the lives she touched.
