Sr Paula Cleary,

Convent of Mercy, Tilbury, Essex and formerly of Bunmore, Ballycroy, Co. Mayo - died peacefully at Coloma Court Nursing Home in West Wickham, London on 12th August 2024.

Predeceased by her parents and three brothers.

She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.

May she rest in peace.

Sister Paula to be received into Our Lady Star Of The Sea Roman Catholic Church, Tilbury at 5.00pm on Tuesday, 3rd September.

Requiem Mass to be held Wednesday, 4th September at 11.00am followed by interment at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Wanstead at 1.30pm

We loved getting to know Sister Paula and will never forget meeting her for the first time outside The Raven Pub in Chiswick. Naturally she was two hours early. She really paved the way for us to meet the whole family. She was a beautiful, gentle soul and always had a kind word when others were bereaved. Condolences also to the Sisters of Mercy who spent more time with her than anyone. Sorry we can't make it over from the USA for the funeral, but Rachel will be there in person to represent the Copelands.
