Micky (Michael) Reilly

Cashel, Glenisland, Castlebar - peacefully in the loving care of the staff in St. John’s ward, Sacred Heart Hospital, Castlebar, surrounded by his loving family - 15th August 2024.

Predeceased by his parents Thady and Mary Ellen, brothers Marty and Timmy, sister Kathleen, daughter-in-law Maeve and son-in-law Tom Mc Walter.

Deeply regretted by his heartbroken wife Philomena, of 64 years, his daughters Adrianne ( Mc Walter), Anne (O' Beirne, Kilmore, Co. Roscommon) and Irene (Carson), sons Vincent and Raymond, brothers Sean and Dermot , sister Anne ( Loftus, Ballina), son-in-law Alan, daughter-in-law Linara, grandchildren Thady, Ellen, Claire, Sarah, Rebecca, John, Alanna, Ugne, David, Thomas and Alan, great- grandchildren Theo and Éiriú, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May he rest in peace.

Micky will repose at Coady’s Funeral Home, Castlebar, F23 XY63 on Saturday evening (August 17th) from 5.30 with removal  at 7 o’clock to his residence.

Funeral Cortege will arrive at the Holy Rosary Church, Glenisland on Sunday  at 12.45 for Requiem Mass at 1.30.

Micky will be laid to rest afterwards in Glenisland Cemetery.

Although I only knew him a few years, I knew him to be a wonderful husband / Dad/ Grandad / GreatGrandad, a gentleman and a kind friend.

I will miss having the craic with him when I visit the Glen; he always took my stories and joking in good spirit.

May god comfort each of you and may you recall happy memories and stories of times past. May Mickey now enjoy the eternal peace of Heaven at the right hand of Our Lord and his Blessed Mother.
