I am devastated to see this sad news. Kathleen was always so kind and gracious to us on our many visits to Glenamaddy. What a beautiful and generous person she was. I am shocked. Sincere condolences to her family; great sadness to all of us.

Sincere condolences Kathleen’s Son Cormac, Daughter in law Erin, grandchildren Maeve, Finlay and the extended MacDermott/Naughton families on the passing of Kathleen.
Kathleen and Dermot
MacDermott RIP pub was the great meeting place in Glenamaddy at weekends for the returning locals from Galway and other places of work. It was a place of welcome and Kathleen and Dermot as hosts were always gracious and generous to all that entered their Public Bar and Lounge.
Glenamaddy was a destination to be in and the likes of Kathleen and Dermot made it so. Kathleen I’m thinking would be the last of the publicans from that era to pass.
Thank you for the great memories.
Rest In Peace Kathleen.

Kathleen was so kind to us when we first stayed with her in 1972. We stayed 2weeks at her place. I returned to Glenamaddy 8more times and I would stop in to see her at the pub when she was there. She was a great business lady who loved her family, guests and horses. May she rest In peace . She may be pouring a pint for my cousin Willie Raftery❤️?
