Fr. Michael Smyth MSC

Croi Nua, Rosary Lane, Taylors Hill, Galway and formerly of Parkroe, Flaskaghmore, Dunmore.

Peacefully on July 7th 2024 at Galway University Hospital.

Pre-deceased by his parents Martin and Kate, his brothers Paddy, Martin and John and his sister Mary Kate Burke.

He will be very sadly missed by his brother Bill (Parkroe), his sister-in-law Sarah (Birmingham) and his many nieces and nephews, and by his Religious Community Missionaries of the Sacred Heart, and especially by members of his local Religious Community at Croi Nua.

Mass will be held for Fr. Michael in Croi Nua (H91 WY2A) on Tuesday, 9th July at 1pm followed by reposing from 2pm.

Removal from Croi Nua at 4pm to the Church of Christ the King, Kiltivna (H54 WD82) for a further reposing from 6pm until 8pm.

Requiem Mass for Fr. Michael on Wednesday at 11am.

Funeral afterwards to Rahoon Cemetery, Galway where Fr. Michael will be laid to rest with other deceased members of his community.
