Carmel Heaney (née Gilligan),

Carrowsteelaun, Claremorris, Co. Mayo - Carmel died peacefully, in the wonderful care of the nurses of Mayo University Hospital and surrounded by her family, in her 90th year.

Predeceased by her husband Val, her brother Patrick and her sisters Margaret and Mary.

Loving mother to Anna, Terence, Valerie and Rosemary.

Sadly missed by her loving family, sister Bobbi Hurley (Limerick), sons-in-law George, Sean and Kealan, daughter-in-law, Kay,  adored Nana to her 9 grandchildren and her great granddaughter, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.   

May she rest in peace.

Reposing in Gilligan’s Funeral Home, Market Square, Claremorris (F12YP74) from 5p.m. until 7 p.m. on Sunday (7th July).

Funeral Mass will be held in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Crossboyne on Monday (8th July) at 1p.m. with burial afterwards in Crossboyne Cemetery

The Funeral Mass will be live streamed on Taugheen Community facebook page
