Diarmaid Farrell,

Knockanillaun, Ballina, Co. Mayo - peacefully at Mayo University Hospital.

Diarmaid, beloved son of Rosemary and David Farrell and dear brother of Brian.

He will be sorely missed by his parents, brother, adored partner Avril, sister-in-law Sian, niece Romy, his aunts and uncles, cousins, workmates Dan and Eoin, his wide circle of friends and his teammates at Ardagh GAA.

May Diarmaid Rest in Peace.

Reposing at McGowan's Funeral Home, Ballina (F26 V274) on Thursday, 4th July from 5pm until 7pm.

Funeral will arrive to Church of Our Lady of the Assumption, Ardagh on Friday for Requiem Mass at 12 noon with funeral proceeding to Leigue Cemetery, Ballina for burial.

There are moments in life when logic leaves the field and this is certainly one of them. Our hearts are broken for David, Rosemary, Brian, Avril, Sian, Romy, all who loved Diarmaid, and all the crew in Ardagh GAA. Words are irrelevant - All we can do is send our kindest thoughts flowing towards you all. It only seems like yesterday when Diarmaid and Brian would be in and out of the office at The Western, proudly following their dad around the place, in the midst of all the craic. The two lads were part of all our extended families as they grew from childhood, on into secondary school, through exams and football matches and the various stages of life. Diarmaid even reported on football matches for Anthony and I, and he had a sense of humour and wonderful devilment which came across in everything he did. As I said, words are of no use right now. All we can do is send our kindest wishes to the finest of people who loved a special young man. May he rest in peace.
