Annie E Hoban nee O’Malley
Cumberland, Rhode Island, USA and formerly of Ballinsally, Slievemore, Achill – passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by love and her family on Wednesday, June 26, 2024.
She was the beloved wife of the late Dr. John J. Hoban.
Born in Ireland, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Kathleen (Corrigan) O’Malley.
She is survived by her children, Deirdre O’Sullivan and her husband Finbarr, Rona Busse and her fiancé Harry Plausse, and Sean Hoban and his wife Gianna; her grandchildren, Niamh and Ciara O’Sullivan, Desmond and Eamon Busse and Nicholas, Domenic, Sean and Elena Hoban.
She also leaves her siblings Tom O’Malley, Farrell O’Malley and Kathleen Treanor, as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Bridie Champagne, Patrick O’Malley, Tony O’Malley and Celine Murray.
Beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend, she meant so much to many people. She continues to be loved and will be missed by family and friends.
Her funeral mass and burial will be held in Ireland, where she will be laid to rest by the side of her loving husband, and near to her beloved mother, father, sisters and brother.
Reposing at Lavelle’s Funeral Home, Cashel, Achill on Sunday evening, 7th July 2024 from 5pm until 7pm with removal to the Church of the Assumption, Dookinella arriving at 7.30pm.
Requiem Mass on Monday at 11am followed by burial in Slievemore cemetery.
Through the Mercy of God may her soul rest in peace.
