Gertie Quinn,

Snugboro, Castlebar, Co. Mayo - peacefully, at Cuan Chaitriona Nursing Home, Castlebar in her 94th year on 28th June 2024.

Predeceased by her parents Martin and Annie Quinn (née Gannon), her brothers John, Michael, Christopher, her sisters Margaret and Teresa and her bother-in-law Fionan Walshe.

She will be sadly missed by her brother Patrick, her nephew Martin, her cousins, relatives, neighbours, and many friends.

May Her Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

Gertie worked in Western Hats, Newport Road, Castlebar and spent many of those happy years working in the shop in Western Hats. She had a great love of animals all her life and in particular horses and dogs. She always enjoyed attending Horse and Dog shows throughout her long life.

Gertie will repose in Kilcoyne’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar F23 HT38, on Sunday 30th June from 6.00pm until 7.30pm.

The funeral will arrive at the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar on Monday at 2.45pm for Funeral Mass at 3.00pm.

Afterwards, Gertie will be laid to rest in the New Cemetery, Newport Road, Castlebar.

House strictly private please.

The Funeral Mass will be live-streamed on www.churchtv.ie/castlebar or can be listened to in Castlebar on the Castlebar Parish Radio  105.3fm
