John Hanley,

Castlemore, Ballaghaderreen, Co. Roscommon - peacefully, in the wonderful care of Eithne and her staff at Oakwood Nursing Home, Ballaghaderreen on June 23rd, 2024.

Pre-deceased by his parents Matthew and Rose and his brother Tommy.

John will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his brother Malachy, sisters Una Costello (Killorglin), Rose Kelly (Boyle) and Maureen Reilly (New York), brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. 

May He Rest in Peace.

John will repose in The Sharkey Funeral Home, Ballaghaderreen on Tuesday from 5pm. Removal at 6.30pm to St. Nathy’s Cathedral, Ballaghaderreen arriving at 7pm.

Mass of the Resurrection on Wednesday at 11am, followed by interment in Kilcolman cemetery.

My sincere sympathy to all the Hanley family on the sad passing of John. So sorry I wasn't free to attend his funeral. John was such a reliable, hardworking caretaker in the Convent Secondary School during my years in Ballaghaderreen . Have fond memories of him.
