Michael Joseph ‘Joe’ Henry,

Cloontubrid, Swinford, Co. Mayo - peacefully in the tender care of Mayo Hospice, Castlebar on the 5th of June 2024.  

Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Mary, brother Tony and sister Kathleen.

Joe will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his brother Jimmy, sister Dolores, nephew Anthony and all of his extended family and friends.

Reposing in Boland's Funeral Home, Swinford (F12K122) this Sunday, 9th June from 5 o’clock to 7 o’clock with removal to Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Swinford arriving at 7.30 pm.

Funeral Mass on Monday, 10th June at 12 o’clock in Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Swinford with burial afterwards in Kilconduff Cemetery, Swinford.

Deepest heartfelt condolences to Jimmy, Dolores, Anthony and all the extended family. Joe was always very generous and kind to me and I will miss him with all my heart. Joe shared many of his stories from years ago with me; some were very funny, and others were highly informative about past traditions in his village and locality. Most of all, Joe was a true gentleman.
We will all miss his smiling face around Swinford where he used to like spending his days in conversation with passing friends and acquaintances. He seemed to know everyone by name, and everyone made time to stop and chat with Joe as he sat and watched the world go by.
