Anne Frances Corrigan née Murphy,

New York and formerly of Station Road and Bothar Buí, Ballaghaderreen, Co. Roscommon - peacefully.

February 5th, 1939 - April 14th, 2024

Pre-deceased by her son Andrew, brothers Michael and Peter, sister Mary (Gallagher), niece Grace and nephew Brian.

Anne will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her husband Leo (formerly of Kiltobranks, Ballaghaderreen), daughter Patricia, son Michael, sister Margaret (Garvey), brother Pat, grandchildren Jack, Madeleine, Gavin and Olivia, daughters-in-law Kellie and Gina, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours, friends.

May She Rest in Peace.

Anne will repose in The Sharkey Funeral Home, Ballaghaderreen on Tuesday from 5pm until 7pm, followed by removal to St. Nathy’s Cathedral, Ballaghaderreen arriving at 7.30pm.

Mass of the Resurrection on Wednesday at 12noon, with the funeral proceeding to Lisacul cemetery.

Leo, Michael, Patricia, Margaret, Pat, Ann Brinton (her best buddy for almost 80years) and her adored grandchildren …. What can I say about Anne. My God…..she was a force of nature, an extremely caring, kind, funny, gregarious human being who absolutely loved life , family and was very loyal to all. She loved coming home to her native Ballaghaderreen and regaling about her past with family and friends! She spoke fondly of her training days n Liverpool where she trained as a nurse … eventually ending up in New York where she and Leo fell in love and married. She was a remarkable woman and friend and I am glad to say she was my friend. I will miss her but never forget her. She has left an indelible print on my heart. God bless Anne nd rest easy now, you deserve it nd sleep with Andrew and the angels forever. Affectionately, Mir xx
