Michael Cooney

Tonragee West, Achill. Co. Mayo,  31st March 2024 peacefully at Mayo University Hospital, Castlebar, after a long illness bravely borne.

Predeceased by his parents Peter and Mary, brother Thomas and sisters Sheila and Kathleen.

Will be forever remembered by his loving wife Mary Jo who was the love of his life, his precious daughter Fiona and son-in-law Mick and the apple of his eye, his adored grandson Declan, brother Peter, sister Mary, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of friends and wonderful neighbours.

Reposing at Sweeney’s Funeral Home, Achill Sound F28 HN81 on Tuesday 2nd April from 5 o’clock with removal at 6.30 to the Church of Mary Immaculate, Achill Sound arriving at 6.45 pm.

Mass on Wednesday at 11 o’clock followed by burial in Polranny Cemetery.
