Desmond Carey (better known as Des),

Corclough West, Belmullet and formerly of Tallagh Road, Belmullet - peacefully at the Mayo University Hospital, Castlebar surrounded by his loving family on 21st March 2024. 

Predeceased by his parents Mike and Eileen Carey.

Beloved father of Frank, Desmond, Ann Marie, Siobhan and Mark and adored grandfather to Reece, Gemma, Ethan, Mia, Zoey and Marc.

He will be sadly missed by his heartbroken family, daughters-in-law Margo and Eilish, son-in-law Stan,  brothers Percy (London), Cyril (Belmullet) and Aidan (Belmullet), sisters Dolores McCann (Oxford), Anna McNulty (Belmullet) and Geraldine Hubble (Belmullet and London), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours and many friends.

May His Kind and Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

Remains reposing at McDonnell’s Funeral Home, Belmullet on Saturday evening from 6 o’clock until 8 o’clock with funeral arriving at the Church of the Holy Family, Carne, Belmullet at 9.30.

Funeral Mass on Sunday at 12 noon followed by burial in Emlybeg Cemetery.
