Tommy Duffy,

Falduff, Louisburgh, Co. Mayo (Commandant Irish Army Reserve, F.C.A. Retired) - March 19th 2024 - peacefully at Mayo University Hospital, in his 92nd year, surrounded by his family.

Predeceased by his loving wife Joan (née Broderick), sister Maureen & brother Jimmy.

Sadly missed and loving remembered by his daughters and son Mary, Siobhán and Con, cousins, the extended Duffy & Broderick families, neighbours, carers, former colleagues in the Irish Army Reserve (F.C.A.) and a wide circle of friends.

Tommy will rest in repose at Sweeney's Funeral Home, Louisburgh on Thursday, 21st March from 7:00pm concluding with Vigil Prayers at 8:30pm followed by removal walking to St. Patrick's Church, Louisburgh.

Mass of the Resurrection on Friday at 12 noon, followed by interment in Kilgeever Cemetery.

I met him quite regularly at Kilgeever cemetery in recent years on a Sunday afternoon. He always recognised me and would open his car window to greet me. Many a memorable and interesting conversation would unfold, as he pondered on all who had gone before him and were buried there. He was never in a hurry and loved to chat. He was such a lovely quietly spoken gentleman.. The funeral Mass today reflected Tommy's great life so well. May you rest in Peace Tommy!
