Hughie Carolan,

The Glen, Glencastle, Bunnahowen, Belmullet, Co. Mayo - peacefully, at the Belmullet Community Hospital, surrounded by his loving family on 16th March 2024.

Predeceased by his parents Hugh and Mary and brothers Frank and Michael.

Beloved husband of Agnes and dear father of Angela, Vincent, Maureen and Brendan. He will be sadly missed by his heartbroken family, adored grandchildren Matthew, Rory, Nonie, Seán and Oisín, great grandson James, sons in law Tom and Anthony, sisters Mary, Kathleen and Rose, brother Pat, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May His Kind and Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

Remains reposing at his residence (Eircode – F26 Y797) on Monday from 12 noon until 5 o’clock with Funeral arriving at the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, Glencastle at 8 o’clock.

Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 12 noon, followed by burial in Glencastle New Cemetery.

Live streaming of the Funeral Mass will be available for viewing on McDonnell Funeral Directors Facebook page on Tuesday at 12 noon.

 Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to the “Pallative Care Unit at the Belmullet Community Hospital”, c/o McDonnell Funeral Directors, Belmullet.
