Martin (better known as Marty) McNicholas,

Mountdaisy, Castlebar, Co. Mayo – peacefully at the Mayo Hospice surrounded by his loving family on 16th March 2024.

Predeceased by his parents Martin and Bridget (née Tonra).

Dearly loved husband of Una (née Durkan, Foxford) and loving father of Majella Fitzmaurice, Joanne Callan, Marty Jnr., Sinead Flynn and Erin McNicholas.

He will be sadly missed by his heartbroken wife, son and daughters, grandchildren Danny,  Cian,  Rory, Emma,  Amy, Tadhg and Cara,  daughter-in-law Sacha,  sons-in-law Shane, Jimmy, Paul and Kenny,  nieces, nephews,  sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law,  friends and neighbours and all the family circle.

Marty will repose at his home (F23 T259) on Tuesday, 19th March from 5.00pm to 7.00pm.

House private please other than at times of reposing.

The funeral will arrive at the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar on Wednesday, 20th March for Funeral Mass at 2.30pm.

Afterwards Marty will be laid to rest in the New Cemetery, Newport Road,  Castlebar.

The Funeral Mass will be live streamed on www.churchtv.ie/castlebar or can be listened to in Castlebar on the Castlebar Parish Radio 105.3FM.
