Kathleen Walsh nee Barrett,

Curratanvally, Breaffy, Castlebar (in her 93rd year) - peacefully in the loving care of the staff in Claremount Nursing Home, Claremorris.

Predeceased by her husband Martin, brothers Paddy, Seán and Jimmy, sisters Mary Ellen, Bridie and Celia.

Deeply regretted by her heartbroken family Maura (Jennings, Manulla), Anne (Walsh, Tullamore), Bernadette (Brown, Kent), John (Clonmel), Helen (Kennedy, Milton Keynes), Breda (Heneghan, Mullingar) and Jean (Gargan, Rathfarnham), seventeen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May she rest in peace

Kathleen will repose in Coady’s Funeral home, Castlebar, F23 XY63 on Tuesday, 5th March from 5.30pm with removal at 7pm to her residence.

Removal from her residence on Wednesday morning at 10am for Requiem Mass at 11am in Saint Aloysius Church, Breaffy, F23 E678.

Kathleen will be laid to rest afterwards in Breaffy Cemetery.

She shared a birthday with my dad Vincent and mam and dad were so happy to get to visit her in Claremorris last year and she was equally delighted to see them. Kathleen and Martin were great neighbours, right back to goin over past Divney's to the well for fresh spring water back when we were kids. Then as a teenager during my leaving cert summer, doing odd jobs, Kathleen and Martin gave me a great start with a painting job to paint the house and sheds. I got very well paid and even better fed and I'll never forget their kindness and generosity. Rest in Peace with Martin Kathleen. Not only your dear family but the whole of Breaffy will miss you.
