Gretta Henry nee Fitzmaurice,

Sargura, Curry, Co. Sligo and formerly of Ballyhaunis, Co Mayo - peacefully at the University Hospital, Galway

Predeceased by her parents Eleanor and Michael, infant son, brother Tom (England), sisters Mary Regan (Dublin) and Nancy Flanigan (U.S.A).

Sadly missed by her heartbroken husband John, her daughters Teresa, Sandra and Marie and son John, sisters Kay Walsh (Dublin), Teresa McMenamin (Dublin), Patricia Brophy (Dublin), Sall Lee (Tipperary), Eleanor Lynch (Cork), brothers John (Ballyhaunis) and Jim (Manchester), daughter-in-law Rosann and son-in-law Shane, grandchildren Niamh, Aoibhe, Lúc and Senan, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Rest In Peace

Remains reposing at St. Therese’s Funeral Home, Curry Village, Co Sligo, F91NY30 on Sunday evening, 11th February from 5:00pm until 7:30pm with removal to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Curry to arrive at 8.00pm.

Funeral Mass on Monday, 12th February at 11am with burial afterwards in Bunnacrannagh cemetery.

Our little village, Sargura, has been numbed and devastated by the sad and untmely passing of our most loved and cherished next door neighbour Gretta. When Gretta came ino the village in 1978 to join her loving husband, John, she brought with her a huge abundance of love, joy and happiness and her kindness, generosity and decency knew no bounds and we were all recipients of it. Ballyhaunis's loss was our super gain. Our deepest sympathy to her beloved John, Teresa, John Jnr, Sandra and Marie and the members of the Fitzmaurice family in Ballyhaunis to whom we owe a debt for giving us Gretta to light up the village. May Gretta rest in peace in the best penthouse in Heaven. She deserves it.
