John James JJ Higgins,

Graigueachullaire, Dunmore, Galway - peacefully after a brave struggle in the kind and gentle care of the staff at the Claddagh Ward, GUH, with his loving partner and a good friend by his side.

Much loved and sadly missed by his partner Monique, his sister Angela, his nieces Mary, Therese and Breege, his nephew Joseph, their spouses Declan, Paddy, Barry and Bernie, his grand nieces and grand nephews and his cousins.

Also sadly missed by his many friends, neighbours and extended family.

A strong and gentle man, firmly connected to family and community.

May he Rest in Peace.

JJ will be reposing at Glynn's Funeral Home, High Street, Tuam on Tuesday evening, 23rd January from 5.00pm until 7.00pm followed by removal to The Church of Our Lady and St Nicholas, Dunmore.

Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11.00am followed by burial at Kilcloony Cemetery, Milltown.

Mass will be available to view live at https://dunmoreparish.com/
