Tulleague, Killasser, Swinford, Co. Mayo – suddenly and unexpectedly on 4th of January 2024 .

Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Evelyn, sisters Gerty and Margaret.

P.J.  will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his partner  Niamh, sisters  Nuala, Dervilla, Deirdre, brothers  A.J. ,Aidan, Charles, sisters in-law, brothers in- law, and his nieces and nephews and his Uncle A.J. (Melbourne) and  all of his extended and much loved family, neighbours and friends.

May His Kind and Gentle Soul Rest In Peace

P.J.  will repose at his residence in Tulleague, Killasser, Swinford  (F12YP23) this Monday evening, 8th January from 4 o’clock to 8 o’clock.

Reposing at Boland’s Funeral Home, Swinford (F12K122) this  Tuesday  evening, 9th January from 4 o’clock to 7 o’clock with removal to All Saints Church, Killasser to arrive at  7.30 pm.

Funeral Mass this Wednesday morning,  10th January at 11. 30 am  in All Saints Church, Killasser, followed by a private cremation.

Heartfelt condolences to all the Gallagher family. We will never forget PJ for all the help he gave us when we settled in his neighbourhood about 15 years ago. PJ set our garden and painstakingly picked up every stone before creating our lawns. A while later PJ rescued a deaf while kitten from the roadside on a rainy winter evening, then rang us to offer the kitten a home. We still have PJ, now a very large and gentle white cat - so we think of our neighbour every day. Rest in peace P.J. - a friend to all.
