Peacefully at Mayo University Hospital 2nd January 2024

Predeceased by his parents Tom and Annie Freeman.

Tom will be sadly missed by his sister Mai Higgins (Kiltimagh), brothers Chris Freeman (Kiltimagh) and Joe Freeman (Leixlip), brother-in-law Mick Higgins, sisters-in-law Mary and Margaret Freeman, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at the Marian Funeral Home, Knock (F12 A726) on Thursday evening, (Jan 4th) from 6 o’clock until 8 o’clock.

Funeral arriving to St. Joseph’s Church Aghamore on Friday for Mass at 12noon.

Burial afterwards in the Aghamore cemetery.

Since I got to know Tom way back in the mid 60s he was always a true gentleman but more so an great Aghamore GAA man who never got the credit he deserved for what he and a few others did for Aghamore football back in 1969 onwards without whom there would be no Junior or intermediate cups in 69/70 and senior final in 71. Tom was a man who would not take no for a answer and for that I can only say thank you Tom for the memories and may Your Gentle soul rest in Peace . So shocked to hear of the passing of Tom Freeman from Aghamore. Tom was one great Aghamore and Mayo GAA man and a loyal listener to my Late Shows on Midwest Radio for over three decades. His favourite American country singer was the great Tom T Hall from Kentucky. We both shared a huge fondness and respect for Tom T and always spoke about him when we met along the trail. My condolences to all the Freeman family on the passing Tom, one noble country gentleman.
