College Green, Claremorris and formerly of Cashel, Ballinlough and Holywell, Ballyhaunis - peacefully, at her home surrounded by her family.

Deeply regretted by her husband Pat, son Patrick, daughter Siobhán, relatives, neighbours, friends and teaching staff at Mount St. Michael, Claremorris.

Reposing at Donnellan's Funeral Home, Clare Street, Ballyhaunis on Monday evening from 6pm to 8pm with private cremation afterwards.

We were all so incredibly saddened, on learning of the untimely death of Mrs Francis Lyons. What can one say about Francis, only that she was a wonderful, dedicated, inspirational and gifted teacher, gifted beyond words, to have had Mrs Francis lyons as a teacher for our children, Francis taught Maths, science, Chemistry and home economics, our children got first class results at leaving cert, with them subjects, all of which, we must give, huge thanks, and great credit goes out to Mrs Lyons.
We are indebted to her.
In my opinion, Mrs Lyons created academic geniuses.
We do send our sincere and heartfelt sympathy to Francis's Husband Patrick, on the death of his dear wife, to her son Patrick Jnr, and daughter Siobhan, on the death of their much loved Mother, to the extended Lyons family, neighbours and friends, and to the teaching staff at Mount St Michael, Claremoris, where Francis taught.
