Martina Garvey (née Heneghan),

Kilroe, Ower, Headford. Co. Galway (1st December 2023) - peacefully in the wonderful care of the nurses and staff of Moycullen Nursing Home and Galway Hospice Palliative Care, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Dominick.

Martina will be deeply missed by her children, Michael (Headford), twins Gerard (Kilroe) and Brenda Richardson (Rosscahill), twins Fiona Murphy (Castlehackett) and Fergal (Kilroe), daughters-in-law Rita and Bríd, sons-in-law Peter and John, cherished Nana to David, George, Alban, Shona, Daniel, Ciara, John and Shane, great grandson Jack, much loved brother and sister Ger Heneghan and Margaret Mary Gibbons, sisters-in-law Patty, Alice and Triona, brother-in-law Dermot, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Predeceased by her parents Bridie and Tommy Heneghan, her Aunt Mary Kate (Bebe) McHugh, brothers Enda, Fr Séan and Harry, and her sister Karina.

May Martina’s Gentle Soul Rest in Peace

Reposing at Carey’s Funeral Home, Headford (H91 E6X9) on Sunday afternoon from 4pm until 6pm.

Removal from her home on Monday morning to arrive at Church of the Immaculate Conception Glencorrib, for requiem Mass at 1 o’clock. Funeral afterwards to Killursa Cemetery.

Family flowers only by request. Donations if desired to Galway Hospice. House Private on Sunday evening and Monday morning please.

The family would like to thank Mayo Primary Care, Home Instead Mayo, Galway Hospice and most especially Moycullen Nursing Home, for the wonderful support they received, in the care of their beloved mother.
