Martin Howley

Dunmaynor, Killasser and Oznam Place, Swinford, Co Mayo - peacefully at Mayo University Hospital on the 25th of November 2023.

Predeceased by his parents Martin Edward and Mary, daughter Mary and brother Joe.

Deeply regretted by his family, sons Raymond and Aiden and daughter Lorraine, daughter- in-law Sharon, son-in-law Colin and his adored  grandchildren Ross, Aoibheann, Kiara, Amy ,Conor and Caoimhe, great-grandchildren Lola Mae and Oscar, brother Eddie, sisters Mary and Rhona, all of his extended and much loved family, neighbours and friends.

May His Gentle Soul Rest In Peace

Reposing in Boland's Funeral Home, Swinford (F12K122) this Tuesday evening, 28th November from 5 o’clock until 7 o’clock with removal to All Saints Church, Killasser arriving at 7.30 pm.

Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday 29th November at 12 o'clock in All Saints Church, Killasser with burial afterwards in Killasser Cemetery.

Martin was a quiet man and I got to know him ages ago. Sincere sympathy to his family at this sad time. I have lovely memories of him and happy times we had. There has been a lot of fun and humour in my dealings with him over the years. He was a true Killasser man and had many friends in the parish. I called to his house in Dunmaymor on many occasions and always got the height of welcome and kindness from him. He had many issues with his health and this made life a tad difficult for him towards the end of his life. He suffered a lot before he passed away and he will be missed by family and friends. It was an honour to have known him. His is a generation that had time for others and spent time with them. He knew the value of family and friendship and his faith meant a lot to him too. He had to face many challenges in his life.
May his noble soul rest in the peace of Christ. Thanks Marty for your goodness and generosity over the years. You will never be forgotten. Sorry to miss funeral
