Mary Teresa (Tessie) Donoghue nee Staunton,

Treanlaur, Maree, Oranmore and formerly of Gloucester, England and Drimcoggy, Srah, Tourmakeady - peacefully at the Friars Lodge Nursing Home, Ballinrobe on November 18th, 2023.

Predeceased by her husband Sean Donoghue and her brother Mattie Staunton.

Sadly missed by nieces Mary (Staunton) Mulvihill (Trianlaur, Maree Oranmore), Kate Ui Nuallain (Inishbofin), nephew Pat Staunton (Cappaduff, Tourmakeady), sister-in-law Kathleen Staunton (Drimcoggy, Tourmakeady), grandnieces, grandnephews,  relatives, neighbours and friends.

Tessie will repose at St. Mary’s Funeral Home, Tourmakeady on Tuesday evening from 7.00pm with removal at 8.00pm to Tourmakeady Church.

Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 12.00 noon followed by burial in the adjoining Cemetery.

Tessie’s funeral mass can be viewed this Wednesday (November 22nd) at 12 noon on www.churchtv.ie/tourmakeady

Always a pleasure to meet Tessie, who had a lively interest and a caring concern for people, especially for those who were ill or those who were going through hard times. Tessie worked hard to climb the ranks in her nursing career as hospital matron, but she was a capable lady who enjoyed life to the full and was a great role model for us growing up.
