Sr. Moira Ryan,

Marist Convent, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim and formerly of Gowlaun, Doocastle, Co. Mayo (Tuesday, 7th November 2023) - peacefully at Sligo University Hospital surrounded by her family and Marist family.

Pre-deceased by parents Michael Joseph and Nora, brother Michael John.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her brothers Seamus (Tuam) and Thomas Bernard (Tunnagh, Carracastle), sister Patricia (Pat) Powell (Drumiskibole, Sligo), sister-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, grand-nephews, grand-nieces and her Marist family, her missionary family in Fiji, New Zealand, Australia, Scotland and Ireland, relatives and friends.

Rest In Peace

Reposing at the Marist Convent Chapel, Carrick-on-Shannon on Wednesday, November 8th from 2.30 o’clock until 5.30 o’clock with removal on Thursday morning to St. James Church, Charlestown arriving for Mass of the Resurrection at 12 o’clock.

Burial afterwards in adjoining Cemetery.

Sr Moira was such a knowledgeable, kind, gentle, unassuming person, her charitable missionary work led her to many different parts around the globe, she loved nothing better than returning to Gowlaun to meet and catch up family, neighbours and friends, I was always interested in the stories she shared about different Worldwide cultures and their struggles, which they and she as a missionary encountered.
