William (Billy) Doyle, 

Arm Road, Castlerea and formerly of Doyle's Shop, Mill Street, Castlerea, Co. Roscommon (October 26th, 2023) - peacefully at the Roscommon Hospice, surrounded by his loving family. 

Pre-deceased by his parents Michael and Frances, his brothers and sisters and recently his loving wife Mary.

Loving father to Michael (Castlerea) and Maria (London).

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his son and daughter, his adored grandchildren Alex and Ethan, his sister Frances (McMahon, Luton), and his daughter-in-law AnnMaire.

Billy will also be missed by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

May He Rest in Peace.

Reposing at McDonagh's Funeral Home, Castlerea on Sunday evening from 5:30pm until 8pm with removal at 8:15pm to St. Patrick's Church, Castlerea.

Funeral Mass on Monday morning at 11 o’clock with burial afterwards in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Castlerea.

Michael and Maria would like to thank most sincerely the Doctors, Nurses and Staff of St. Coman’s Ward, Roscommon University Hospital and Roscommon Hospice for the wonderful care shown to Billy and the family.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Billy Doyle, just a few months after the death of his lovely wife Mary back in April of this year. Billy and Mary were mighty listeners to my shows on Midwest Radio for over three decades. I always loved to call in to Doyle's Shop when passing through Castlerea and enjoyed many great chats with Billy about music and the GAA. He was a great Roscommon man and, like myself, had an enormous regard and respect for the late Dermot Earley. It was little wonder that a photo of Dermot was on display in the shop. The passing of Billy and Mary is truly the end of a special era in the grand town of Castlerea My condolences to the Doyle family and friends at this sad time.
