Edward Joseph Egan (Joe),

Lissyconnor, Dunmore, Co Galway - passed away peacefully at Aras Mhuire Community Nursing Unit, Tuam in the presence of his devoted wife Delia and his loving family on 24th October, 2023 in his 98th year.

Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Delia Egan, infant son Gerard, brother Charlie, sister-in-law Mary Rose and his nieces Mary & Essie.

Deeply missed by his devoted wife Delia of 69 years, his sons Tommy and Eddie Joe, his daughters Carmel (Comer), Bernadette (Raftery), Kathleen (Glynn), Josie (Silke), Delia (Healy), Fidelma (Killilea), Nuala (Mullins), Colette (Finnegan), Claire (Murphy) and Noelle (Gormley), sons-in-law and daughters-in-law.

Cherished grandfather to 36 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren, his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at Glynn's Funeral Home, Dunmore (H54 NY61) this Thursday evening from 6.00pm until 8.30pm followed by removal to The Church of Our Lady & St. Nicholas, Dunmore (H54 Y573).

Funeral Mass on Friday at 1 o’clock followed by burial in Dunmore Cemetery.

House private please.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Aras Mhuire, Community Nursing Staff, Tuam for their outstanding care and kindness shown to both Joe & Delia for the past 7 years.

The Funeral Mass will be available on the local parish website.
