Mary Pownall née Geraghty,

50 Childers Heights, Ballina, Co. Mayo and formerly of Cross Wallace West, Binghamstown, Belmullet and Gocham, Nottingham, England - peacefully at the Mayo University Hospital, Castlebar surrounded by her family on 19th October 2023.

Predeceased by her husband Ernest and her siblings Pat, James, Annie, Peggy and Mattie.

Beloved mother of Philip (Nottingham, England), Martin (Ballina), Paul (Loughborough, Leicestershire, England) and Andrew (Ballina).

She will be sadly missed by her heartbroken family, her grandchildren, great grandchildren, daughters-in-law, brothers John (Dundalk, Co. Louth) and Michael (Birmingham) and Kathleen Kelly (Banagher, Co. Offaly), nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

May Her Kind and Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

Remains reposing at her residence at 50 Childers Heights, Ballina (Eircode F26 X9P7) on Friday evening from 7 o’clock until 10 o’clock and on Saturday from 12 noon until 9 o’clock.

Funeral will arrive at St. Patrick’s Church, Ballina on Sunday for Funeral Mass at 12 noon with funeral proceeding to Cross Cemetery, Binghamstown, Belmullet arriving at 2.30pm.
