James (Jimmy) Shaughnessy,
Derrymore, Kilkerrin, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway.

James died peacefully on the morning of October 18th at the Roscommon University Hospice facility in Co. Roscommon.
James is predeceased by his parents Thomas and Kate Shaughnessy, and by his brother Patrick.
James leaves behind his sister, Bridie Kelly, her husband Kevin, nephews Robert, Patrick, Charlie and Ryan all of Massachusetts, USA. He will be deeply missed by all the wonderful staff and residents of Fearna Manor in Castlerea, Co. Roscommon where he has called home for the past 10 years.
We would also like to thank the wonderful staff at the Hospice facility for their compassionate care during James’ final days.
James will be reposing in Divillys Funeral Home (F45XY45) Glenamaddy on Thursday evening, October 19th, from 7 o’clock until 8 o’clock.
Funeral Mass on Friday 20th in St. Patrick's Church, Glenamaddy at 12 noon with removal to the new cemetery, Creggs Rd, Glenamaddy.
Jimmy was a good man, a kind man, and a thoroughly decent gentleman, and I shall never forget his kindness towards me when I needed somebodies help the most.
That in essence was Jimmy Shaughnessy.
Now that Jimmy is gone, I will miss him greatly but I will never forget him.
My only regret from having known Jimmy is that I didn't get to see him more often when he was in residence at the Fearna Manor Nursing Home.
My most sincere condolences to his family.
May Jimmy's gentle soul rest in peace.
