Nora McDonagh née O'Hora,

Knockmore, Ballina, Co. Mayo - peacefully after a short illness in Mayo University Hospital - surrounded by her loving family. 

Predeceased by her husband Thomas, parents Frank and Mary Ellen O’Hora, brother Tony, nephew Declan Breslin and niece Deirdre Dawson.        

Survived by her sons Brendan and Gerard, daughter Laura, adored granddaughter Megan, daughter-in-law Sharyn, Laura's partner David, brother Paddy Joe, sister Kathleen Breslin, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, and friends. 

May Nora rest in peace. 

Reposing at McGowan's Funeral Home, Ballina (Eircode F26 V274) on Thursday evening, 19th October from 6 o’clock with removal at 8 o’clock to arrive at Church of Christ the King, Knockmore for 8.30.  

Nora’s Requiem Mass will take place on Friday morning at 10.30 with the funeral proceeding to Ballinahaglish Cemetery, Knockmore. 

Nora’s Funeral Mass will be live streamed on https://www.churchtv.ie/knockmore/

My childhood was punctuated with constant visits to McDonagh's lovely shop, which was always a pleasant experience. There would be a warm welcome and the best selection of penny sweets in the county! I will never forget the day Nell Mcafferty called in to see Nora to enquire about a local story that must have merited ivestigation; or the time I was stung by a wasp and Nora put some miraculous spray on my thumb that put me out of my childish agony. McDonagh's shop was was like the heartbeat of the village. Nora will be greatly missed. Requiesce in pace.
