Monica Quigley,

Cara, Pearse Road, Sligo and formerly of Markievicz Heights, Sligo; Hazelwood Avenue, Sligo and Quarryfield, Bunninadden, Co. Sligo - peacefully, at the North West Hospice, Sligo.

Dearly loved daughter of the late Chris and Rita. Cherished sister of Paula, Dermot, Maeve (McFadden, Kinturk, Newbliss, Co. Monaghan), and Liam (Corofin Co. Galway).

Sadly missed by her loving family; brother-in-law Fran, sister-in-law Cathy, uncle Teddy Quigley and his wife Mary (Oldrock, Bunninadden), nephews, nieces, cousins, friends who lived and worked with her, care staff as well as doctors and nurses who cared for Monica over the years.

Rest In Peace.

Reposing at the Nazareth House Chapel, Church Hill, Sligo on Sunday from 4:30pm with removal at 5:30pm to Saint Joseph's Church, Ballytivnan - to arrive at 6pm.

Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Joseph's Church, Ballytivnan on Monday morning at 11am. Burial to follow in Saint Patrick's cemetery, Scarden, Strandhill Road, Sligo.

I remember Monica with fondness from our childhood days in Doocastle School, Meeting her at her home in Quarryfield when we cycled over to the shop or to post a letter in the postbox situated at the gateway to her home. Her parents Chris and Rita were lovely people and we missed the whole family when they left Quarryfield. Sincere sympathy to her sisters and brothers Paula, Dermot, Maeve, Liam and all her family.
