Theresa (Tess) Durkin nee Gilroy,

Leeds, England and formerly of Scullibeen, Crossmolina, Co. Mayo - passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on the 2nd August 2023.

Dearly loved wife of the late John F Durkin (Leeds and formerly of Knockmore, Co Mayo). 

Much loved mother of John, Michael, Carol, Vincent, Irene and Robert.

Dearly missed by her daughters-in law Tracey, Bernie, Jackie and her sons-in-law Mick and Gary (deceased).

Treasured and greatly missed by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Deeply missed by her sisters Kathleen Walsh (Cooneal) and Carmel Coll (Castlebar), brother-in-law Frank McCaffrey (Castlebar), sister-in-law Teresa Gilroy (Killala), her nieces, nephews and all her extended family and friends in England and Ireland.

Predeceased by her parents James and Bridget Gilroy and her brothers and sisters James, Stephen, Johnnie, Martin, Mick, Patrick, Tony, Mary and Josie.

May her gentle soul rest in peace. 

Tess will repose at Hughes Funeral Home, York Road, Leeds on Thursday, 31st August from 5pm until 6.30pm with removal to Holy Name Church, Otley Old Road, Leeds 16 for 7pm.

Requiem Mass on Friday, 1st September at 10am followed by her burial at Lawnswood cemetery
