Breda Toolan,

Rooskey and St. Thomas’ Crescent, Knock, Co. Mayo - peacefully, in the Sonas Nursing Home, Knock on 19th August 2023.

Predeceased by her sister Josie and her twin brother Owen.

Sadly missed by her brother Eamon, many cousins, neighbours and friends.

Rest In Peace.

Reposing at the Marian Funeral Home, Knock (F12 A726) on Monday evening (Aug 21st)  from 5.30pm until 7pm.

Funeral arriving to The Church of St. John The Baptist, Knock on Tuesday morning for Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in Knock cemetery.

Deepest sympathy to Eamonn and the extended family on the passing of Breda r.i.p a very talented lady, Breda won the All Ireland at the first fleadh in Mullingar on the Button accordion. She was living and playing music in Dublin in the 50's and 60's they had great days in the pipers club where she payed with Leo rowsome, Michael Tubridy and many other great musicians . Breda played with many ceili bands during her time in Dublin I have fond memories of her playing in our house when I was a child. I was lucky enough to have met her many times when she returned to knock and share many stories of great days gone by. May you join all your great musician friends gone before you to heaven and once again enjoy the wonderful music you shared with so many. May your gentle soul rest in peace xx
