Tony Fallon,

21 Fr. Meehan Place, Castlebar - tragically following an accident on Tuesday, 11th July 2023.

Predeceased by his Dad Michael.

Adored Dad of Conor and dearly loved only son of Anne and loving brother of Mary King (Rinshinna), Caroline Quinn (McHale Road), Teresa Fallon (Springfield) and Fiona Fahy (Westport).

He will be sadly missed by his heartbroken son, mother, sisters, brothers-in-law Michael King, Brendan Burke and Adrian Fahy, his uncle Sean Fallon and his aunts May Heenan, Brid Griffin (USA) and Joan Redmond, his nephews, nieces, his grand-niece Nellie, cousins, work colleagues, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Tony started his working career at the age of 16 years with “Larry’s Barbers” and for the past 20 years he has worked in Ger Staunton’s Barber Shop in Castlebar. He made many lifelong friends during his working life and in the many activities he took part in, like playing pool with his friends on the Flynn’s pool team, listening to music on the juke box was another interest of his especially Foo Fighters and AC/DC, he liked an odd flutter in the Bookies and watching his beloved Liverpool and Celtic. For relaxation he loved watching wildlife programmes on T.V but his greatest enjoyment came from the time he spends with his son Conor especially when they went fishing together. Tony was gifted mechanically, and he could literally fix anything from watches to motor bikes.

Tony will repose in Kilcoyne’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar on Friday, 14th July from 6.30pm until 8.00pm.

The funeral will arrive at the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar on Saturday for Funeral Mass at 11.00am, followed by cremation service in Shannon Crematorium at 3.00pm.

The Funeral Mass can be listened to in Castlebar on the Castlebar Parish Radio 105.3fm or it can be viewed on www.churchtv.ie/castlebar and the cremation service can be viewed on www.shannoncrematorium.com and the password is MKFM23

Unbelievable as it is to write this. My most sincere condolences to Anne Caroline Mary Teresa Fiona Conor and extended family. Tony was a lovely guy a kind and helpful neighbour who could turn his hand to anything. I loved spending time in the Fallons house. I can see him now playing football on the green full of character and fun with some wwf references way back when times were easy and fun as children. His kindness to children with spins on his treasured motorbike and how cool himself and caroline were heading off to work in the mornings putting their excellent talents to use.
