Michael Stagg

Blackwaterfoot, Isle of Arran, Scotland - peacefully at home on the 21st June  in the care of his loving family.

Native of Hollymount, late of Coventry and Ballycastle Co. Mayo.

Sadly missed by his wife Ellen, daughters Ellen, Claire and Julia, grandsons Patrick, Ciaran, Emmet, Isaac and Eoin and father-in-law to Jim. Mark and Ben.

Generous and kind friend to many.

Private family funeral at Clyde Coast Crematorium, Dalry, Ayrshire, Scotland on Monday 3 July.

So sorry to hear of the recent passing of Michael. I had the honour of meeting Michael and Ellen on a few occasions over the years when I covered the Mayo Association dinners in England for the various Mayo newspapers. He was an absolute gentleman, blessed with a kind and compassionate nature. I enjoyed those chats so much as we spoke about times back in Hollymount and Robeen and he spoke so fondly of his great friends in the Mayo Association in Coventry. I extend my condolences to Ellen and the family and to all the Stagg family on the passing of Michael, one noble gentleman and a proud son of Mayo.
