Mary Hegarty née McCloskey,

Castleross Nursing Home, Carrickmacross and formerly of Mace Lower, Claremorris, Co. Mayo and Limavady, Co. Derry - peacefully, surrounded by her family, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, having been wonderfully cared for at Castleross Nursing Home on 16th June 2023.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Willie, her parents William and Maria, her twin sister Ita and her aunt Mary Cleary.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by her cherished family, her daughters Ita (Pentony) and Margaret (Martin), her sons-in-law Conor and Michael, her much-loved grandchildren Ellen, Liam, Faith and Clara, her Hegarty and Kavanagh nieces and nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, her Limavady cousins, relatives, many friends and neighbours and most specially, her Castleross family.

MAY SHE REST IN PEACE.

Mary will repose at Castleross Oratory, Carrickmacross, on Saturday, 17th June and Sunday, 18th June from 5pm until 7pm.

Mary's funeral cortège will leave Castleross Oratory on Monday, 19th June at 11am proceeding to Gilligan's Funeral Home, Market Square, Claremorris, Co. Mayo (F12 YP74), where Mary will repose on Monday from 6pm until prayers at 7:45pm followed by removal to the Church of Our Lady, Barnacarroll.

Mary's Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, 20th June at 1pm followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

She was such a lovely lady who shared her time, kindness & laughter so generously. Dare I forget her lovely baking skills!!! Many an apple or rhubarb tart she baked for others to enjoy.
