Mairin was a wonderful person in many ways. She was a great person who related well to everyone and made a deep impression on all she met. She made an enormous contribution to our young people here in our parish and to music ministry in our parish. She was concerned about climate change and the care of the planet and was a big support to me here in many many ways. She made many friends here and was deeply concerned about church affairs and the Killasser Community. She wanted us here to be open to the changes that are going to come for us here as a people of God. She was anxious that all of us would reach our full potential and life life to the full.
On behalf of all in our community here I want to say a big Go raibh maith agat to Mairin who was a courageous person and also fearless even in the face of death itself. She was one of those rare people we don’t come across all that often in our lives. May her noble soul rest in the peace of Christ and may we continue on the path she trod.
